Tokop was a stage stop and a minor mining camp. Low grade gold ore was found here in the 1890s, and some sporadic mining took place during that time. Not enough ore was found to justify a townsite to be built. Not much remains of Tokop today.
A foundation from some old structure - the only remains I could find.
This old mining camp was found just down the road from Tokop, but I do not know if it has a name.
