Kinkaid, also known as Kinkead (presumably after John Henry Kinkead the third Governor of Nevada) , was a siding back in the 1880s on the Carson & Colorado Railroad, and later Southern Pacific. There is the Kinkead Mill here also, but I have not been able to find any info on what kind of ore was processed here - most likely gold, or copper since these minerals are prevalent in the local area. It now appears to be abandoned.
